The Digital Twin
Go from managing to mastering health data with the power of the digital twin.
Digital Twin (dɪdʒɪtəl twɪn) n.
A virtual representation of an object or system that spans its lifecycle, is updated from real-time data, and uses simulation, machine learning and reasoning to help decision making.
—IBM
The concept of a digital twin has been around for more than twenty years, but its application in healthcare is still relatively new. Most digital twins today, even in healthcare, are designed to simulate processes in physical environments (e.g., patient utilization of hospital beds, crash cart location, etc.).
By contrast, Verto’s digital twin uses patient data as a foundation to:
- Power integrations between multiple EMRs and health information systems across the continuum of care with our patented AI algorithms using Verto Connect
- Enable population-level surveillance and simulation to monitor health system performance using Verto Discover
- Automate patient engagement and administrative tasks using Verto Flow & Verto Engage
